Yaatra

Yaatra is a game that is heavily influenced by certain Indian versions/interpretations of the Ramayana, with a focus more on Sita. Our Sita, who later became Sia, went through several variations.

Above is an early test picturing how her dress might look with animation, as well as one of many color and shading tests. We eventually went towards a much more simple and stylized design, since that design would synergize with the Krikees avatar creation project. A simpler design also drastically reduced polycount which was important on mobile.

The Monkey King and his Army

It was super fun to design the Monkey King Character. Some early versions included a gender-bent monkey queen and sailor monkey. We eventually settled on a spiky-haired design.
